Rays of light shine on her body,
Sweat trickles down her neck,
Smoke leaves her nose,
Alcohol flows into her mouth,
Heat liberated from her breath.
Sitting in this dark corner,
Doing what we aren’t meant to do,
The thrill of it slowly grows dim in me.
I see her fade out,
Losing herself with every puff,
Her spirit fading with every shot.
I call out to her,
But she ignores my voice.
The void grows in her
As I try to pull her out,
It draws her in,
It owns her being.
Not wanting to lose her again,
I follow her to oblivion.
I'm ready to lose myself for her,
For she makes me whole.
We become one in the void.
